Crystals
Crystals are natural rock formations that are valued for their unique shape, texture, and luster. Ancient civilizations incorporated crystals into everyday life and incorporated them into rituals, medicines, and even beauty routines. For example, the Egyptians believed that rose quartz would help the wearer look young.
Crystals amplify and increase energetic vibrations, whether for you, your room, your home or even your pets. They can make us more aware of our own energy and help us be present and in the moment. Perhaps in this manic digital age where distraction is everywhere, crystals have this moment. They help us support ourselves when we are stagnant, run out of energy, feel lethargic, or need to calm down.
The meanings of the healing crystals are a spiritual aid for healing and not a medical prescription or health information.
How to choose your crystal
Before you start your search, it is important that you take the time to think about what you really need.
There are several ways to find a crystal:
1. Follow your intuition.
First of all, you can follow the intuitive path. Visit a local crystal shop and dive into space. "Take an intentional glance as you consciously fix your eyes on every kind of crystal that you can behold." Without a doubt, you may find one calling out to you.
"Get hold of them in your hands and see if you feel something that vibrates you in” or close your eyes and open them “and see which one really stands out. "
2. Find the stone that best suits your needs.
Alternatively, you can simply choose a stone depending on what you want to manifest into your life. For starters, researching the essence of all kinds of crystals can help, realizing that everyone will have a slightly different experience with them.
Now that you've chosen your stone, you need to choose the type of shape you need;
Lump: Lump-shaped crystals generally have no discernible facets. Good for cleaning the atmosphere.
Cut: A crystal that is shaped to capture more light and increase the energy of the crystal.
Tumbled: These crystals are round, smooth, shiny, and comfortable to hold and carry around.
Wand: These crystals have a sharp point on one end and a rough or rounded edge at the other. They are used to direct energies in a specific direction.
Crystal stone cleansing and programming
Cleansing your crystals after you buy them really makes them yours! There are several ways to cleanse crystals, the most common of which is to soak them in salt, sound cleansing, hold them under running water(not suitable for all crystals), or cleanse them by smudging with Sage, Incense, or Palo Santo - just light up the smudge of your choice and pass the crystal thought the smoke. You can also bury them in the ground for a while (a potted plant will work) or leave them outside when there's a full moon.
Crystal healing
When you have a crystal, setting an intention is the best thing to do. Hold it in your hand and imagine the white light penetrating it. Set intentions that are in alignment with your highest and greatest good only.
Then the next step is to genuinely set an intention on the crystal. For example, if you had a citrus (the stone of success) you would think, “Right now I am hoping to improve my career and have better opportunities in my workplace. Then my intention would be set onto the stone.
The most important part of crystal healing is to have the stones around you. Just by carrying them or wearing them as jewelry, in your pockets, or in your Bra (Yes I SAID it! Boob Buddies!) they increase your energy. You can also meditate with them by holding them in your hands.
Emma Lucy Knowles recommends using a pointy rose quartz stone with rose oil to massage the temples for headache, stress, and eczema relief.
Do the healing crystals have an expiration date?
Crystals are active forever. However, I recommend people to keep them in the sun for a couple of hours every few weeks to recharge them with their own natural energies, be it under a full moon or in the sun. If you keep them indoors all day, it can separate them from their natural sources of energy. Gemstones are part of nature, just like us humans.
Lose or Break a Crystal
If you lose a crystal, don't worry, according to healer Emma Lucy Knowles, every stone has its own spirit. So if you lose one, it means you no longer need it.
